CSV North West
CSV Training and Enterprise is a volunteering and training centre for young people. They provide opportunities in media including TV production for VOL TV, magazine production for ReVOLution magazine, editing facilities, audio production and photography.
Based in the centre of Preston, CSV centre also has a training room with internet access and opportunities to get involved in many projects including European Youth Exchanges. An Ambassadors for the Future energizer can be completed in film, TV, animation, audio production, magazine production, photography or editing...alternatively you can design your own media energizer in whatever interests you!

Lancashire Sport
Come and complete a 3 day sports energiser with Lancashire Sport. You will get the chance to try some new sports and will get a level one qualification during your time with us. You will meet lots of new people and have the chance to speak to people who are already working in sport to see how you could pursue a career, a voluntary placement or a course in sport.
You don’t need to be good at sport, just willing to have a go!

Three days of activity see those
involved increase their confidence
and motivation to succeed in
business, training and the work place.
An end of project celebration event
includes presentations and awards.

Unit (LUVU) Voltage is now available to groups of
young people who are not in education, employment
or training (NEET) and also those at risk of becoming
NEET.

Got a Vibe or a Talent for Music?
Are you aged 16 - 18? Interested in music, composing, mixing, MC-ing, DJ-ing and recording using the latest equipment and software? This 4 session course will take you through all the stages to music production level. You will come away with a CD of your own work with lyrics mixed to CD quality.
Entry Requirement: 16 - 18 yrs (Not in Education, Employment or Training). This is a fun 16 hour course run over 4 sessions. The course runs on Mon and Wed 12.30 - 4.30 @ The Basement Project, Hargreaves Street, Burnley. Dates 10/08/09 & 07/09/09

Come and try your hand at radio with a week of workshops covering DJ skills, scratching, MCing, audio and music production, jingle making, podcasting and radio journalism - a different skill each day, all run by some of the best in the business. Whether you're a seasoned pro, or completely new to radio, you'll find a workshop that's right for you. It's great fun, plus you'll pick up vital skills, experience and contacts to help you break in to the raido and music industry.
Run by Preston (Preston FM), Lancaster (Diversity FM) and Pendle (Pendle Community Radio).
